We provides general advise on the type of health problems you may encounter during your overseas travel, which vaccines may be recommended for the trip and whether or not malaria is present.
Did you know that many travel-related diseases such as cholera, typhoid and hepatitis A, can be prevented by vaccination?
These diseases found mainly in developing countries and popular tourist destinations such as Bali, India, Thailand. Vaccinations most likely to be recommended for travel include: Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, Tetanus/Diphtheria, Influenza and Polio.
Others, less commonly recommended: Meningococcal meningitis, Rabies, Cholera, Japanese encephalitis, Tick-borne encephalitis, Plague,Measles/Mumps/Rubella, Varicella and TB.
Ideally, vaccinations should be administered at least six to eight weeks prior to departure so talk to your GP without delay
